Portraits of our Seoul
These images portray what I, and those I was closely surrounded with, saw and felt during our time in Seoul, South Korea. They portray our home, our belonging, our outsider-ness, the new culture we explored, the history we learned, the places we visited, the people we saw often, and the people we would see in the crowds. They show moments we lived or activities we observed from afar, the seasons that changed with us, the ways we were perceived by others, the restaurants we ate in, the beauty we saw, the confusion we felt, the alcohol we consumed, and the closeness and familiarity we gained. We missed home, but this was also our home, even though we knew we would never really belong. These images are portraits of our Seoul. Take them as you wish.
